What do enhancement shamans reforge

If a piece of gear already has mastery on it THEN you reforge to haste. Do a recount session and note which abilities deal the bulk of our damage. If we exclude melee auto swings that would typically leave us with stormstrike, lightning shield static shock and windfury hits as the main damage dealing abilities.

Mastery does affect lightning shield damage but it does not affect windfury, stormstrike or the proc rate of our enchants. More importantly, more haste means you build up MW charges faster and get more static shock procs for a given time frame.

I'm guessing people go mastery when they play an offensive spec, but as probably already know a bunch of them still go mastery when they're going into the resto tree for the last remaining talent points.

Another guess would be that windfury is nature damage, if thats the case then it would make sense to get a ton of mastery. He tested out mastery vs crit and is stickign with mastery. I've tested crit vs. Shamans deal almost half their damage with the spells shocks, searing totem, static shock if you play with it, and if i'm not mistaken, lava lash is spell damage which are all affected positively by mastery.
